Gosh, I keep hoping I'll find more time to blog, but it just doesn't seem to be happening! So a once-or-twice-a-month posting schedule is just going to have to work for now. (Reasons it's difficult to blog include that when she hears my fingers typing, Fiona- my cat- jumps up on the desk and mashes her face into my keyboard. She gets jealous.)
So I finally finished my THIRD month of #kelzukisanimalkingdom, Artiodactyla! Or, even toed hoofed ungulates. And I STILL don't know how to pronounce ungulates.
Im very pleased with how this poster turned out. It certainly doesn't pack the color punch of my previous two posters, but I think that might be part of why I really love it! I am having such a moment with sepia/grayscale/neutral color stories. Actually I think this is just what I'm biologically wired to like. When nature is super colorful- as in the case of songbirds, for example- I think it's so cool and exciting, but moreso because its surprising, and less because I find it inherently more beautiful.
I love texture and pattern, maybe that has something to do with it? Texture+pattern+color can be overwhelming so this way you take one out of the equation or something.
Anyway, hooray to one more month down! Soon my walls will be completely covered in these posters, ayiyi!
